VFFS Packing Machines (Vertical Form Fill Seal)
A vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machine makes the bag from a roll of film, fills it and seals it in one cycle. Our VFFS range covers film widths from 320 mm to 1020 mm, bag lengths from 80 mm to 800 mm and speeds up to 60 bags per minute, and the same frame takes an auger filler for powder, a multihead or cup filler for granules, or a pump for liquids.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a VFFS machine and a premade pouch machine?
A VFFS machine forms bags from roll film, so packaging material costs less and speed is higher (up to 60 bags/min on our frames). A premade pouch machine fills bags that are already made, such as stand-up zipper pouches, which look more premium but cost more per bag. See our guide comparing the two.
Which film can a VFFS machine run?
Our VFFS frames run heat-sealable laminated film and PE film from 0.04 to 0.08 mm. Horizontal and vertical seal temperatures are controlled separately (±1 °C), so you can switch between laminate and PE without changing the jaws.
Can one VFFS machine pack both powder and granules?
The bag-making host is the same, but the dosing unit is different: an auger filler for powder, a multihead weigher or volumetric cups for granules. If you switch products often, tell us both materials and we will quote a host with interchangeable fillers.
