Auger Filler vs Multihead Weigher vs Cup Filler vs Pump
Match the dosing unit to how your product behaves: an auger filler for powders that do not flow freely (≤±0.5% on 1–1000 g on our fillers), a multihead weigher for light or irregular granules such as chips and nuts, volumetric cups for uniform free-flowing granules such as rice and sugar, and a piston, rotor or paste pump for liquids and pastes.

When should I use an auger filler?
Use an auger for fine, dusty or sticky powders: milk powder, flour, coffee, spice, protein, detergent. The auger turns a set number of revolutions to deliver a volume; because powder density changes as it settles, add a check weigher or load-cell feedback for products sold by weight.
When is a multihead weigher worth the cost?
When pieces are irregular, light or fragile — chips, puffed snacks, nuts, candy, frozen food, pet food. The weigher fills several small hoppers and combines the ones that add up closest to the target, so it holds weight where cups or augers cannot. It costs more than cups and needs a platform above the bagger.
When are volumetric cups enough?
For uniform free-flowing granules whose density barely changes: rice, sugar, salt, beans, seeds. Cups are the simplest and cheapest dosing method; our HY-420B uses them at up to 70 bags per minute.
Which pump for liquids?
Piston pumps for water-thin to medium liquids (water, oil, soy sauce), rotor pumps for thick pastes (peanut butter, bean paste), and a heated or stirring hopper for honey or sauces that thicken or separate.

Frequently asked questions
Can a line have two dosing units?
Yes, for mixed products — for example a multihead weigher for nuts plus an auger for seasoning on one pouch line. Tell us the recipe so we check timing.
