HFFS Packing Machines (Flow Wrap / Pillow)
Horizontal machines move the product flat along a conveyor. Our flow wrap (pillow) machines wrap solid items such as biscuits, bread, candy bars or hardware at 20–330 bags per minute on film from 180 to 1000 mm wide, with a down-film or up-film layout. Our most requested model is the 350X down-film wrapper.

What is the difference between down-film and up-film flow wrap?
On an up-film machine the film runs above the product and the fin seal is underneath — the usual choice for firm, regular items like biscuits. On a down-film machine the film runs below, so soft, sticky or irregular products (bread, vegetables) sit on the film and are not pushed by a flight chain.
How is bag length set on a flow wrapper?
Our flow wrappers use three servo motors: you enter the bag length on the screen and the machine cuts at that length with no empty runs to adjust, which saves film at changeover.
Can a flow wrapper pack items of different sizes?
Yes, within the bag width and product height range of the model. Product height is up to 35/50 mm on the small models and up to 140 mm on the large ones.
