Packing Machine Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Checklist
A factory acceptance test (FAT) proves the machine meets your specification before it ships. Run it with your own product and packaging material and check seven things: speed, fill accuracy, seal quality, changeover, the electrical system, safety functions and documents. You can attend in person or by live video.

What should I bring or send for the test?
- Enough product for at least 30 minutes of running
- Your film or premade pouches — sealing depends on the material
- Your target pack weights and tolerances
- Your voltage and frequency, so we wire the machine to match
What to check during the run
- Speed: count packs per minute over several minutes, not a burst
- Weight accuracy: weigh 20–30 consecutive packs and check the spread
- Seal: squeeze and drop-test packs; check for channels, wrinkles and powder in the seal
- Date code: legible and in the right place
- Changeover: time a bag-size or recipe change
- Alarms: no-bag, no-fill and temperature alarms work
- Noise and vibration at full speed
Electrical and documents
- Voltage, frequency and plug match your factory
- Wiring is labelled and the cabinet is tidy
- Manual, electrical drawings and spare-parts list in English
- Recommended wear-parts kit packed with the machine
An example: an India customer's flow wrapper test
On 5 August 2026 a customer from India visited our factory to run the acceptance test on the automatic pillow flow wrap machine they ordered. Our technicians ran full cycles with real product samples while the customer checked running speed, sealing, pack finish, machine stability, key components and the electrical system, then agreed delivery, installation guidance and after-sales support.
Frequently asked questions
Can I do the FAT by video?
Yes. We run your sample on a video call or send recorded test videos, and you approve shipment after reviewing them.
