Why do two quotes for the 'same' machine differ so much?
Because they rarely describe the same machine. One may include the elevator, platform and output conveyor; another only the bagger. One may quote a 10-head weigher, another a 14-head. Ask every supplier for a line drawing and an item list, then compare item by item.
